It may still be cold and dreary outside, but prom season? It's fast approaching. Just the other day I saw someone on social media talking about how their daughter was already thinking about what she was going to wear, and it made me realize just how much of a rite of passage prom is for teens. The beautiful dresses, the date, having your photo taken...all of it such a classic part of the high school experience.
It's also one of those high school experiences that we look back on years later. Who hasn't looked back at their old prom photos and reminisced or even just wished they had better photos? When I think about it, all of the money that parents and teens put into their prom experience -- from clothes to makeup to flowers to cars to dinner -- it kind of makes me sad that the only images of that special time most people have are the snapshots taken on the front lawn or in front of a poorly lit backdrop at the event itself.
But what if you could capture your child's prom experience in beautiful, professional portraits that would never go out of style, photos that they could look back on in ten years and feel proud of? And really, how often do we really get that dressed up in our lives? That's why this year, I'm offering prom portrait sessions so that when people look back on their prom years from now, they not only have a great story to tell but amazing photos as well.
My prom sessions cost $150 for one teen, $250 for two. Going to prom in a group? Group sessions (for up to five teens in the group) are $400. These sessions are on location (I come to you!) and include 3 digital images and one 5x7 print of their favorite.
To kick off these sessions, I'm running a prom photo contest. Submit your prom or high school dance photo and lucky winner will win a prom session for their teen or a teen in their life. I want to offer one lucky winner a prom photo session for up to two teenagers. This 30-minute session will be on a location of their choice (within the Kansas City metro area), both teens will receive 3 digital images and one 5x7 print. Details of how to enter the contest can be found on my business Facebook page, but I can't wait to see everyone's prom photos...just like I can't wait to help you and your child create photos they'll want to display forever. Contest ENDS Saturday 02/17/2018 and winner will be announced Monday 02/19/2018.
